Over the coming months, we want to introduce you to different members of the team here at A&J Fabtech! Meet Gary Townley who heads up sales for the Tanks and Water division. We asked him a couple of questions to get to know him better!
What do you enjoy most about working at A&J Fabtech?
I love being part of developing something that can make a real difference to the competitive Water market. It’s great to work for a company that has such a great reputation across the industry – especially for design and manufacturing capabilities. I’m hoping to build on that reputation by gaining more market share, not just in the Water industry but in Power and Rail too – our bespoke engineering and fabrication capabilities are second to none.
Being a Tanks expert, how do you feel about the fit between Permastore and A&J Fabtech?
The synergy between A&J Fabtech and Permastore is indisputable. With the extensive knowledge A&J Fabtech have of the Water market and the support of UK Tanks manufacturer, Permastore, we’re now able to service clients the full turnkey project under one roof.
How long have you worked at A&J Fabtech / in the industry overall?
I have worked at A&J Fabtech for 8 months, specifically in the Tanks division. We have already been hugely successful in this industry, gaining some high-profile projects. After launching into the Tanks division in 2018, it has been a challenging period for the business but I must commend the team who are meeting and exceeding these challenges already!
After working in the Tanks industry for over 11 years, the demand for full turnkey solutions has increased. As A&J Fabtech can design and manufacture in-house, we are in a unique position of being able to fully support client requirements, along with Permastore.
If you’re not on the road meeting clients, what do you love to do in your spare time?
In the little spare time I have, I enjoy spending time with family and playing golf, with my older son now also playing golf this enables me to get a bit more practice which is being reflected with the handicap going the right way.
